red dot award（紅點獎）源自德國。red dot是與iF獎齊名的一個工業設計大獎，是世界上知名設計競賽中最大最有影響的競賽之一。下面請跟我們一起感受德國紅點設計大獎2009年創意家居。以下設計作品風格各異，或簡單樸素，或簡約大方，或造型奇異，超乎想象。但是，所有作品都給人以眼前一亮的感覺，沖擊著我們的視覺。設計師們大膽的創新精神和豐富的想象力更是讓我佩服不已。跟我們一起，讓我們盡情去領略它們的獨特風格與設計吧！
一、Ponton Modular Seating Programme

Ponton is versatile and multifunctional – it can be slid, turned, coupled and moved for individual seating ideas. The elements of cubist design with pivoting backs lend themselves to endless experimentation. This low seating landscape boasts a modern, youthful appearance and consists of 1.5-seater and 3-seater elements, two footstools, an arm cushion, a slumber cushion and two lumbar cushions. Cover options range from striking decorative stitching and coloured surfaces to leather piping along the sides. 

二、SH05 ARIE Shelf

The variable SH05 ARIE shelf characterises the playful design language of the designer as well as the conceptual design approach of E15. At first the design appears casual; on closer inspection however, the functional concept of the shelf becomes visible in the systematic order of its elements. The clever display component of the shelf provides a beautiful way to singularly present individual books or objects. The invisible structural elements of the shelf enable it to be used as a free-standing room divider or as a traditional against-the-wall unit. The shelf also comes in an alternative sideboard height.

三、Sideboard Fibre Cement ES1900

The form of the Sideboard Fibre Cement ES1900 combines an unobtrusive appearance with sophisticated functionality. Standing on two stainless steel supports the sideboard is made of fibre cement – an unusual material for such furniture –, which gives him a plain form and a special look. Beside the surface the inside of the sideboard can also be used. Two drawers help to keep order. The sideboard comes in two colours: light grey and anthracite.

四、Snap Chair

This elegantly designed chair is 99 per cent recyclable and a well-done example of “Cradle to Cradle” design. Using only three different parts – metal frame, expanded polypropylene seat halves and plastic stoppers –, the entire life cycle was considered during the design process. Tooling and assembly costs are minimised by using two identical seat halves that simply snap onto a metal frame. The snap assembly allows the user to change colours and configurations at any time, and at the end of its life cycle the different parts (materials) are easily separated for recycling. The chair can also be easy upholstered by the customer.
